Animal Care Administrative Assistant

Under the guidance of the Director of Animal Care, the Animal Care Administrative Assistant will perform specialized clerical and technical duties in support of our Animal Care teams.

Specific duties would include but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate staffing schedules for multiple departments under the Animal Care division.
  • Procure supplies in accordance with procurement policies for multiple departments under the Animal Care division.
  • Process department purchase orders and invoices for multiple departments under the Animal Care division.
  • Assist with scheduling of facility-wide inspections with local, state, and federal enforcement organizations.
  • Assist in maintaining historical records of facility and associated equipment/system maintenance and repair.
  • Assist with electronic filing of Animal Care-related files
  • Manage the on-boarding process for all animal care staff
  • Oversee the SOPs for all animal care departments
  • Assist operations management team with preparation of correspondence, presentations, spreadsheets, reports, graphs, memoranda and related materials; distribute pertinent information, scanning and filing.
  • Communicate externally to organizations and third-party vendors/contractors
  • Perform errands as needed/requested.
Requirements: One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months of related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
