The Weil Gallery at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi presents “Collective Likeness,” an exhibition of works by San Antonio-based artist Suzy González and Tucson, Arizona-based artist Eliseo Casiano. The exhibition will feature two-dimensional works across a variety of media, addressing a broad spectrum of socio-political subject matter related to cultural identity, race, familial histories, and the hierarchies of materials. A public artists’ lecture is from 5-6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27, in Bay Hall 103. An opening reception is from 6-7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27, in Weil Gallery. The reception is free and open to the public. The exhibition runs through Nov. 22; gallery hours are Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Weil Gallery is located on the first floor of the Center for the Arts at the Island University.
