Ribbon Cutting for The Salvation Army

The Salvation Army of The Coastal Bend is the largest Family Service Center in The Coastal Bend Area. They are the only shelter program that does not separate children from their parents while they are in residency at the program. The Salvation Army also helps prevent 100's of families from becoming through their homeless prevention financial assistance programs. Every year, The Salvation Army helps more than 60 families move into their own housing, and more than a 100 find gainful employment. The Salvation Army also helps provide assistance to Veterans and their families. Over 50 Veterans and their families are served and have stable lives largely because of the benefits The Salvation Army Provides.

We will be giving away hot chocolate and cookies.

We would like to thank the Mayor, Council members, Salvation Army Advisory Board members, staff and our supporters for helping us to "Do The Most Good" in the Coastal Bend. Every year, the Red kettle Campaign is our largest Fund-raising event. The monies raised in November and December help to provide a fifth of the organization's over all annual budget. Without the communities continued support, we would not be able to make so much change occur. We hope to raise $250,000 in the campaign this year. This would be a record for The Salvation Army, but it is needed. Never before has The Salvation Army done more for our community than we have done over this past year and current one. As we kick off the Red Kettle Campaign this year, we want to thank all of our supporters and friends. Help us to continue to "Do The Most Good" in the Coastal Bend!

We will have the Veterans High School cheerleaders joining us.
