“Healthy individuals create healthy communities. Transportation has always been connected to social determinants of health such as access to food, medicine, employment, medical care and social services. A disruption in community resources is a threat to an individual’s health. Feonix Wellness works diligently in service to all community members, and is very thankful to be able to partner with various medical providers, MCOs, and social service providers such as the Coastal Bend Food Bank.” 
 
Safe and reliable transportation is no exception to the barriers our community faces especially in rural counties. This challenge doesn’t only include access to medical care. It also involves access to food, medication, employment, social services and so many other resources people need to have a healthy and connected life. The Feonix Wellness program has been given the opportunity to connect with community leaders all across the Coastal Bend who are working behind the scenes to serve our most vulnerable neighbors and make our home a more connected and resourceful place.
