Power of the Purse

Girl Scouts of Greater South Texas needs your help!  We are currently planning our annual “Power of the Purse” event in Corpus Christi.  We would be honored if you would join our efforts of raising funds for our Outreach Program-Because every girl deserves to shine.  Power of the Purse is scheduled for October 5, 2017.  The event, which will be held at Katz 21 located at 5702 Spohn Dr., will consist of a silent auction.  

At Girl Scouts, we are all about practicing everyday leadership, preparing girls to empower themselves, and promoting G.I.R.L. (Go-getter, Innovator, Risk-taker, Leader) experiences.  Girl Scouts is a sisterhood that spans ages, stages, and lifestyles.  We represent different interests, ethnicities, and industries.  As much as we are different, we are also very much alike-living with intention and taking action in all aspects of our lives.  Girl scouting is the place for girls to have fun and try new experiences. Research proves that Girl Scouting works! In fact, in a 2012 study of more than 3,750 women who were Girl Scouts as girls displayed more positive life outcomes, higher incomes, and higher education levels than women who were not in Girl Scouts.
