Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi is hosting Oso Bay Biennial XXI 2020: Matter Matters symposium on Friday, April 24, and Saturday, April 25. This symposium, and its accompanying exhibitions and lectures, will feature work by artists who create three-dimensional art. In addition, there will be six Coastal Bend-focused 10-minute mini-sessions called “Art Bursts” by the TAMU-CC Student Art Association, the Performing Arts Center, the Art Museum of South Texas, City of Corpus Christi Arts & Cultural Liaison Shelly Rios, Rockport Center for the Arts, and K Space Contemporary.

· 6:30 p.m. – Foundation Matters – A panel presentation and discussion about 3-D teaching philosophies, approaches, and goals emphasizing teaching experience at community colleges in South Texas – Weil Gallery, Center for the Arts
Saturday, April 25
· 9:30-10:30 a.m. – Network Matters – A panel presentation and discussion about opportunities for connecting, exhibiting, and developing by seeking communities and collaboration regionally, nationally, and internationally. Art Museum of South Texas Auditorium, 1902 N. Shoreline Blvd.
· 11 a.m. to noon – Keynote Speaker – University of Texas Studio Art Professor Beili Liu will deliver a presentation in the Art Museum of South Texas Auditorium, 1902 N. Shoreline Blvd.
· 2:30-3:30 p.m. – Matter Matters – A panel presentation and discussion about media, memory, and space. Islander Art Gallery, 4024 Weber Rd.
· 4:30-5:30 p.m. – Closing Presentation – Juror and Curator Dr. Volker Eisele will present a lecture on the juried exhibition in the Islander Art Gallery, Sculpture Month Houston and about opportunities in Houston emphasizing 3-D art. Islander Art Gallery, 4024 Weber Rd.
