What if what you wore could save a life? When you participate in National Wear Red Day on Friday, February 2, it just might! The American Heart Association is asking the women –and men-- of the Coastal Bend to participate in the annual National Wear Red Day to raise awareness of heart disease in women and make ending the disease a reality. Heart disease kills 1 in 3 women, more than all forms of cancer combined. Together, we can stand strong and demand change on National Wear Red Day. The day is an important part of the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women® campaign to build awareness of heart disease in women, urge women to take concrete actions to reduce their risk, and raise much-needed funds for women-centric cardiovascular research and education. Show your support: wear red on Friday, February 2, and share our FREE informative materials in print or on your social media profiles (tag your pictures #CorpusGoRed).
