ADULT ART WORKSHOP Surreal Scenes with Photo Manipulation (Part 1 of 2)

Photo manipulation is the art of transforming ordinary photos into something unexpected. Inspired by works in the Digital Darkroom from the Annenberg Foundation exhibition currently on view, this two-part course will take you out of the box as you create a surreal scene using photo-manipulation techniques in Adobe Photoshop. We’ll cover everything from adjusting lighting and composition to creating atmosphere and sharpening your image ready for print or web. Familiarity with basic Photoshop-editing tools is required. *Participants may bring 5 full-resolution images on a flash or portable hard drive or they may choose to use images provided. **Participants will receive one 8” x 10” print at the end of class. Location: AMST Creation Station. Cost: members $60/nonmembers $75. Register online at www.artmuseumofsouthtexas.org or by calling the Education Department at 361.825.3504.
