Act of God Film Screening plus Q&A

In collaboration with the Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi Office of Disability Services, Islander Cultural Alliance, and the TAMU-CC Communications Department, the Performing Arts Center is presenting Act of God, a short film by Spencer Cook and Parker Smith, based in Austin. The free showing will be held on Wednesday, October 12. Door open at 6 p.m. with a reception, the film begins at 7 p.m., and a Q&A with Spencer Cook starts at 7:30 p.m. There will be a dessert reception after the Q&A. Act of God has won numerous film festival awards and is the story of Spencer, who is disabled and has spent his entire life in a wheelchair, and his caretaker, Parker.
