Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi’s College of Liberal Arts and Academic Affairs will host “80 Years of Resilience: Advocating for Peace After the Atomic Bomb,” on Tuesday, Oct. 28, at 6:30 p.m. in UC Lonestar Ballroom C.
The lecture will feature Miyako Jodai, a survivor of the Nagasaki bombing, and Fumie Kakita, a second-generation survivor and Secretary-General of the Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Survivors Council. Both speakers will discuss the advocacy supported by the city of Nagasaki following the bombing of Nagasaki World War II. The event is hosted by Dean Kyoko Amano and Dr. Rory Huang.
